- There is still no formal process for having historical overpayments returned to you, despite this having been promised ‘soon’ at the end of February. This is urgently needed, and agreement on interest payments after an agreed period is also needed.
- Repayments for all doctors who paid via a practice (i.e. salaried, partners) is required due to anti-fraud legislation to go back to the employing practice/organasation at the time. Where this no longer exists, repayments will go to the CCG.
- We touched on the tax implication of repayments, and NHSE will seek advice on the position from HMRC on this and related, more complex issues.
